The 10 Commandments of Amos
1. You shall honour your mother's and grandmother's cooking
Because they taught us to create love with every dish. That the stoves are the foundation of the home and the home of the family, from them come those magical recipes that unite us and accompany us throughout our lives, the memories that comfort us and the advice that guides us.
2. YOU WILL PERFECT THINGS
Because things can always, always be made a little better, and better means making them more essential, more subtle, more sophisticated, and more human. Improvement requires effort, curiosity, passion, a little wisdom, and when you improve, everything around you is elevated and makes us feel a little happier.
3. YOU WILL LOOK FOR THE BEST SUPPLIERS AND INGREDIENTS
And you will look after them because only with something good can something better be made. Because we believe in excellence that can be seen and that cannot be seen. Because from the ordinary, the extraordinary cannot be created.
4. YOU WILL SUPPORT YOUR TEAM
Because they are the ones who make everything possible, the ones who go the extra mile perfecting things, the ones responsible for you, dear customer, feeling a little closer to heaven every time you come to Cenador de Amós. Because our team is our family, and family is always the most important thing.
5. YOU WILL LEAVE THE WORLD A LITTLE BETTER
A little more sustainable. You will use products from your garden, minimise waste, separate rubbish, install renewable energy sources and give back what you have left over to the community.
6. YOU WILL ENJOY WITH THE 5 SENSES
There are arts that can be enjoyed with one or two senses, and that's fine, but there are few, very few, almost none, where we engage all of them at once. Walking through a palace, the feel of a freshly ironed tablecloth, the texture, the smell, the shapes and flavours of recipes made with wisdom and care, the scent of sourdough and coffee, conversations with friends, and the silence of the garden. And when you enjoy something with all five senses, you never forget it.
7. YOU SHALL CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESSES
